Estela Perez-Somarriba Awarded RBC Pro Challenge Qualifying Wild Card
2019 NCAA Women’s Singles Champion Joins RBC Qualifying Draw
The RBC Pro Challenge presented by Oak Creek, an $80K USTA Pro Circuit event, announced Thursday that 2019 NCAA Champion Estela Perez-Somarriba has been awarded a wild card into the qualifying draw.
Perez-Somarriba is currently a Senior at the University of Miami, Florida. From Madrid, Spain, she is one of the fiercest competitors in all of college tennis.

The 2018 RBC Pro Challenge featured an incredibly strong field, with multiple players making their mark on the WTA Tour. Semifinalist Belinda Bencic has ascended to the world’s top 10, enjoying the best season of her career. Meanwhile young Americans Whitney Osuigwe and Caty McNally, who faced off against each other in the quarterfinals of the 2018 tournament, are amongst the youngest players in the top 200. Kristie Ahn, 2017 RBC Pro Challenge Champion, reached the Round of 16 at the 2019 U.S. Open.
